“There is tremendous CoronaVirus testing capacity in Washington for the Senators returning to Capital Hill on Monday,” Trump tweeted on Saturday, misspelling Capitol.

DUH! I think that headline states the obvious fact that no matter what the disease or what date ... going out and intermixing with people outside one's house is going to increase exposure.

Remember, the goal of the shutdown was to make sure that anyone who came down with the COVID-19 virus flu/pneumonia would have access to healthcare ... bed, ICU, ventilator, etc.

From the article:
Georgia’s citizens run a substantially greater risk of contracting COVID-19 now than they did before Kemp allowed businesses to reopen. Did reopening the state cause the increase in risk of exposure? The increase in IR is suggestive but far from conclusive.

The incidence rate is a projection based on conjecture.
I don't agree or disagree with it ... time will tell.

Real life data suggests otherwise ... the number of new cases has gone down every day since April 26th.
However, it is too soon to make a guess one way or the other.

How important is "risk of exposure" anyway? Purely hypothetical number. Means little in the real world.

I accept the position that these people tried to make a good and honest effort.
It is based on conjecture and is a projection however.
I think it is a tool for politicians and healthcare modelers to track trends.
This disease is so hard to model and project as we have seen time after time.

There is no argument with me.

You say you are not leaving your basement. Good choice, there are idiots out there.

I hate how some provocateurs here try to divide everything into us vs them. We are all Americans. Not one sane person wishes this virus on anyone. I think every American wishes everyone had a nice home, a good paying job, health insurance, a cabin in the woods, and a bass boat.

No one wants America to fail. Some of us just want America to lead.

Check yourselves.

I would like to add that we have the best scientists in the world, and limitless resources. We can solve this, if that is what our leaders want.

I'm yet to be convinced they are looking out for 'us'.
