Since the party in power often loses at least one house in the midterms, and the Democrats will try every stalling tactic possible, it's imperative that Trump does whatever is necessary to effect change now. If he does a good enough job we'll hang onto power. I think the Republicans need to focus on passing a reasonable budget.

Pretty smart to start with foreign aid. People with common sense are opposed to the wasteful spending on dumb stuff in other countries. Gets people on your side.

There's probably even more stupid wasteful spending in the department of education and FEMA but that's a harder sell and easier for the Democrat propaganda machine to defend.
