If he worked next to me he'd work "longer" taking work off me for working "harder"
Yeah probably, I can be a sucker like that and supes do take advantage. Sometimes the work day seems longer and more miserable the slower I work though. I’ve been here long enough to know my protections and numbers don’t matter, but I do like getting in a certain speed and groove

I know it’s naive too but I also want this company to succeed so I do try and work hard, and I don’t like to “take advantage” of my union protections

I think it’s a little different for you drivers though driving a big truck on the road, it’s even more important for you to be cautious and work safe

I debate it and go back and forth, I’ll ask you for advice if I decide to sign a bid though

The one nice thing I noticed when I drove was the day went so much faster than any of my other jobs. Maybe that changes once you do it for a while though

Pt car washer kind of made me second guess about driving too because sounds like he gets full time hours if he wants with the option of part time, which is appealing to me the idea of doing other jobs, building up side business doing part time, then you can “soft retire” at a point and leave everything except part time inside and still get great pay and benefits

But like I said I think in the end you drivers still make more money than me and your double my pension, so it’s tempting. Just seems like a ton of stress, so much talk about supervisors harassing and finding ways to fire you, 9.5 lists, I don’t know lol
Pt carwasher situation is not indicative of most. Part-time pension sucks compared to full-time.
