NO, wkmac.
There has been no other president as clueless as our present one.
His only strong point is giving campaign speeches.
His administration has no leader, thus every dept head is free to set their own policy.

(Washington Examiner) —
Buried deep in the internals of The Washington Post’s latest poll, and not reported at all in their front-page write up, is some troubling news for President Obama’s reelction prospects.
Fourty-four percent of American adults, and 46 percent of registered voters, told The Post they definitely will not vote for Obama’s reelection.
Only 20 percent of respondents said they deifinitely will vote for Obama in 2012.
Thirty percent said they would consider it.

. . . More than 40 percent of Americans are also ready to call Obama a failure.
Asked if “Obama has made progress” toward solving the major problems facing the country, 42 percent of Americans say Obama has “tried but failed.”
Twenty-eight percent of Americans are even ready to say Obama “made problems worse.”
Only 19 precent of respondents told The Post that Obama has “made progress.”

(AFP) – The sexologist Mariela Castro, daughter of Cuban President Raul Castro called on Havana to U.S. congressmen who support Barack Obama for a second term to have the “opportunity to make things better “according to a statement released Thursday.
Mariela Castro “expressed the view that President Obama should be excused the failures of the first term and support for a second term, which would give the opportunity to make things better,” said a statement from the National Center for Sex Education (CENESEX), which she leads.

(WIAC) — On July 30th the Progressive Caucus of the California Democratic Party passed a resolution proposing that a primary challenge be offered to Obama next year. The Progressive Caucus’s certification expired at the same time, and while other caucuses were routinely recertified that day by the state party, the Progressive Caucus (I’m told by its chair, Karen Bernal) would not have been, had a vote been held. So the recertification was tabled, and the Progressive Caucus is in limbo. It no longer exists, but it may yet continue existing.

The feelings are obviously mutual, Obama’s been seen with Zakaria’s book, “The Post-American World.”

[h=4]In short: our president is a small and small-minded man, with neither the temperament nor the intellect to handle his job[/h] [h=2]Obama: The Affirmative Action President[/h]http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/39583
Years from now, historians may regard the 2008 election of Barack Obama as an inscrutable and disturbing phenomenon, a baffling breed of mass hysteria akin perhaps to the witch craze of the Middle Ages. How, they will wonder, did a man so devoid of professional accomplishment beguile so many into thinking he could manage the world’s largest economy, direct the world’s most powerful military, execute the world’s most consequential job?

Imagine a future historian examining Obama’s pre-presidential life: ushered into and through the Ivy League despite unremarkable grades and test scores along the way; a cushy non-job as a “community organizer”; a brief career as a state legislator devoid of legislative achievement (and in fact nearly devoid of his attention, so often did he vote “present”); and finally an unaccomplished single term in United States Senate, the entirety of which was devoted to his presidential ambitions. He left no academic legacy in academia, authored no signature legislation as legislator.

Not content to wait for history, the incomparable Norman Podhoretz addressed the question recently in the Wall Street Journal:

To be sure, no white candidate who had close associations with an outspoken hater of America like Jeremiah Wright and an unrepentant terrorist like Bill Ayers would have lasted a single day. But because Mr. Obama was black, and therefore entitled in the eyes of liberaldom to have hung out with protesters against various American injustices, even if they were a bit extreme, he was given a pass.
Let that sink in: Obama was given a pass—held to a lower standard—because of the color of his skin.

And in any case, what did such ancient history matter when he was also articulate and elegant and (as he himself had said) “non-threatening,” all of which gave him a fighting chance to become the first black president and thereby to lay the curse of racism to rest?
Podhoretz puts his finger, I think, on the animating pulse of the Obama phenomenon—affirmative action. Not in the legal sense, of course. But certainly in the motivating sentiment behind all affirmative action laws and regulations, which are designed primarily to make white people, and especially white liberals, feel good about themselves.
Unfortunately, minorities often suffer so that whites can pat themselves on the back. Liberals routinely admit minorities to schools for which they are not qualified, yet take no responsibility for the inevitable poor performance and high drop-out rates which follow. Liberals don’t care if these minority students fail; liberals aren’t around to witness the emotional devastation and deflated self esteem resulting from the racist policy that is affirmative action. Yes, racist. Holding someone to a separate standard merely because of the color of his skin—that’s affirmative action in a nutshell, and if that isn’t racism, then nothing is. And that is what America did to Obama.
True, Obama himself was never troubled by his lack of achievements, but why would he be? As many have noted, Obama was told he was good enough for Columbia despite undistinguished grades at Occidental; he was told he was good enough for the US Senate despite a mediocre record in Illinois; he was told he was good enough to be president despite no record at all in the Senate. All his life, every step of the way, Obama was told he was good enough for the next step, in spite of ample evidence to the contrary. What could this breed if not the sort of empty narcissism on display every time Obama speaks?
In 2008, many who agreed that he lacked executive qualifications nonetheless raved about Obama’s oratory skills, intellect, and cool character. Those people—conservatives included—ought now to be deeply embarrassed. The man thinks and speaks in the hoariest of clichés, and that’s when he has his teleprompter in front of him; when the prompter is absent he can barely think or speak at all. Not one original idea has ever issued from his mouth—it’s all warmed-over Marxism of the kind that has failed over and over again for 100 years.
And what about his character? Obama is constantly blaming anything and everything else for his troubles. Bush did it; it was bad luck; I inherited this mess. It is embarrassing to see a president so willing to advertise his own powerlessness, so comfortable with his own incompetence. But really, what were we to expect? The man has never been responsible for anything, so how do we expect him to act responsibly?

Having Solved All The Country’s Problems, Obama Uses Executive Order To Create “Office Of Diversity And Inclusion”…

Affirmative action with a touchy-feely liberal name.
(Judicial Watch) — The economy remains in shambles yet President Obama keeps wasting taxpayer dollars expanding an already bloated U.S. government, this month launching a new office to help build a “diverse and inclusive workforce” at all federal agencies.

The new Office of Diversity and Inclusion will ensure that the entire U.S. government develops comprehensive strategies to drive and integrate diversity and inclusion practices. It will assist the different agencies in building a workforce that “respects individual and organizational cultures” by examining policy options, data trends and employee survey findings.

The goal is to eliminate demographic group imbalances in targeted occupations and improve workforce diversity. To attain this, special initiatives have been created targeting specific groups, including Hispanics, African Americans, American Indians, women and gays and lesbians. The idea is to create a workforce that truly reflects America’s diversity, according to the Obama Administration.

In fact, the Obama executive order creating the new agency assures that it will promote the federal workplace as a model of equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion. It will also establish a coordinated government-wide initiative to promote the cause. The investment is worth it because a commitment to equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion is critical for the federal government as an employer, according to the commander-in-chief.

Where do you get your information from??? Real Clear has all the latest polling numbers and I dont see your particular set of numbers?

Real clear monitors Republican vs obama ( general) and OBAMA vs every republican candidate. In each case, OBAMA leads all republicans, except in the FOX NEWS polls(rassmussen) Go figure.

While Obama vs Romney is the closest race, Obama still beats him. Everyone else and its a blowout for OBAMA... Palin and Bachman get destroyed by OBAMA.

Good luck preaching your numbers.

The new low also marks the first weekly average in which 50% of Americans disapprove of Obama's job performance. The erosion reflects particularly low ratings at the beginning of last week, including 41% for Aug. 15-17 and Aug. 16-18, the lowest three-day averages of his administration. By the end of the week, however, Obama's job ratings inched up, averaging 44% approval Aug. 20-22.
The president arrived at Martha's Vineyard, Mass., on Thursday, settling in with his family for a 10-day vacation, and for the most part dropping out of the daily news cycle. Whether this contributed to his slightly better ratings near the end of the week cannot be determined.
Obama's current 43% rating is well below the job approval ratings for both Presidents Bush at this point in their second year in office, but at roughly the same level as Presidents Clinton, Reagan, and Carter. None of the three presidents who were in the 40% range in August of their second year got back to 50% by the time of the midterm elections.

Since Real Clear Politics is the only polls some people accept, I thought I'd check the "direction of the country" polls.........

% that feel the country is headed in the right direction....

Average................18%
A.P. 21%
Rasmussen 14%
Democracy Corp. 16%
Reuters/Ipsos 21%
McClatchy/Marist 21%

That sure isn't glowing confidence in our leader. We need a U-Turn.
