No. Starting drivers do not save the company any money. They are a liability until they are experienced enough. That could be a month or six months. Or longer.

Our rookies work a lot more then 8 hours and had better be there everyday. They are all dying.
They get doctors excuses. sore rectum,or whatever they use.
Its gonna be a bad peak.

They think its sore now...wait 20 or 30years...lol. It is going to be the craziest peak we've ever seen...in terms of sheer volume. Ugh..can't wait.

Might be a bigger liability, but it now takes new drivers 4 years to reach top pay.

Yeah, but we're gonna be running a lot more guys and equipment so really I don't think it's going to be as bad as we're all thinking...at least for drivers.

I agree, but at least they're trying to have a plan this year, compared to the usual "Wow, where did this extra volume come from? It's a surprise to us all. This has never happened before."

That's every year lately...they plan and plan and yet we get slaughtered and oh hello service failures....combine that with IVE's snowstorm and late air trailers and we are screwed six ways from sunday.

The problem is going to be in getting the volume off the trailers and into the package cars before noon. Don't matter how many extra people you hire the buildings are too small for the volume during Peak.

Yep...no place to park the extra PC's and rentals...we'll be carting the packages outside to the yard and loading them out there.
