Nah. The outside doesn't get hot enough Smokers are so well insulated the heat stays inside.

Weber Smokey Mountain 22.5" Model. $400 and all you might ever need. I'm a perfectionist who goes overboard on my hobbies and I still haven't found a reason to get a "better one" yet.

Been made for decades, proven, tons of aftermarket support, parts, mods.

I have a digiq temperature controller on mine so it's set and forget. I do pork butts and briskets overnight while I sleep like a baby.

Today, I smoked a ham I cured myself. Set the controller and enjoyed the rest of the beautiful day not babysitting the smoker.
