Hahaha. CluelessHoffa and hall are going down next election. Vote the sell outs out!
Have you heard of Access Point?Hahaha. Clueless
Have you heard of Access Point?
This is another form of subcontracting, along with Surepost. Hoffa and Hall are letting them get away with it.
No 2nd and 3rd attempts. How is Access Point subcontracting?
No 2nd and 3rd attempts.
They're not being done by us! This is my point. Are the 2nd and 3rd attempts being done by a different carrier?
They're not being done by us! This is my point.
Are you familar with the service?
I'm not sure if the rest of the country has it yet.
I understand, but this is taking more packages from our cars, this is the point I'm trying to make, also were not allowed to Access Point cell phones and other electronics. We don't have it here but it is being tested in several parts of our region.
I am personally not in favor of it but do see where they could be beneficial in a more urban setting.
Today I had a NI3 on a signature required in a townhouse complex (28 units). The consignee filled out the back of the info notice without bothering to read that I needed an actual signature at time friend delivery (Option B). There was no SDWC or DCR so I assume the package will be sent back. The consignee would have benefited has there been the option of forwarding the package to an Access Point.
We completely X out the back signature area to stop that.We don't have it here but it is being tested in several parts of our region.

If it is signature required after three attempts in should be post carded and held for five business days before being sent backWe don't have it here but it is being tested in several parts of our region.

No, but it has to be a shipper signature required, not one UPS signature required. Doesn't seem fair to me for people who live in apartments.I wasn't sure if that had been changed or not.
How is Access Point subcontracting?
Actually, on the second or third day the package is delivered to the UPS Store (access point) by a Teamster, so at most we lose one attempt?"Subcontracting" , means, getting someone else to do the job we are suppose to do. By making one attempt, then sending the pkg to the UPS store for pickup, we lose two more attempts on the package.
