i did my first work shift since breaking my arm, and a coworker was pretending to work basically as soon as i got there. hes not some kind of radical socialist, the fact is capitalism often does not incentivize workers to do anything besides pretending to work. we sat in the lunch room for 1hr 15 minutes at the end as well.

capitalism was not as bad as i remember, but recieving orders and making someone rich still sucks.

the future PM of UK sings a different tune, and yes he also wants worker controlled jobs and to end capitalism:

I send my solidarity to women council workers in Glasgow who go on strike today to demand equal pay.

They are the carers, cleaners and caterers who are society's unsung heroes.

When they go on strike, it's our duty to support them. #GlasgowWomensStrike

Wage stagnation under massive corporate profits is a perceived injustice by tens of millions of American workers. Add the frozen $7.25 federal minimum wage to this dismal scene. Voters need to go to the polls to give themselves a raise. Long overdue. Go vote yourselves a raise -R
We gave ourselves a raise a couple years ago. Minimum will go to $13.50 in 14 months, then we will revisit it again.

Sounds like you need to be micromanaged. I would hate to see how you and your coworkers live.

capitalist inefficiency has some managers micromanaging regardless of work ethic

and the lack of incentive means more time is wasted micromanaging than would other wise be needed under a system which encourages worker power and ownership of their labour

Your pay package is your incentive. Your work ethic is who you are.

this is what they do at the churches you go to.

we can debate about if bernie ever had a chance of winning considering how badly the media and DNC rigged the election for hillary.
I took myself down to the Tally-Ho Tavern to buy me a bottle of beer.. I sat me down by a tender young maiden whose eyes were as dark as her hair....

You don’t feel any personal responsibility to provide your employer the services they’re paying you for? You know, like doing the right thing?

It makes me think of the quote that says, “The true test of a man’s character is what he does when no one is watching”.

Federal laws are coming more and more irrelevant

$13.50 minimum wage

52 hours sick leave a year for the typical 40 hour work week.

Legalized marijuana

Sanctuary cities
you can sugar coat it all you like with state laws.

btw whats the median minimum wage across all states?

i think its far more moral that me and other coworkers slack than work hard. this system is shrouded in secrecy. alot of things are kept secret from workers. workers dont have a basic understanding of economics or even democracy for that matter. all by design too. people dont know what tyranny looks like, what terrorism is, what democracy is. i think most people have an image of what these words are from the powers that be, but cant connect them to anything with their own thought process.

alot of people know that in this BS system somebody is getting stinking rich at our expense. even if they dont know what the solution is, or the facts, they correctly sense this.

the employer certainly is not acting responsibly.

if the employer wanted us to work harder, they would pay us by how much we produce, which might not work either because then the quality would drop.

the true test of a mans character is how much he sacrifices himself doing the right thing, and letting go of the outcome.

Not sugar coating anything. Just telling you how it is here. We got people to vote their own minimum wage, own sick leave. Many things go on state and local ballots. And people vote them down.

i know but you sound dishonest when you dont mention "states" as you now are.

and btw, in this rigged system people usually end up voting for the worst things.

Annnd it all boils down to, your employer is paying you an agreed upon amount for you all to, in exchange, provide a designated and also agreed to service. If you didn’t agree with the terms, why take the job?
