No,you don't have to pay,but if you don't keep your payments current and up to date you will lose your benefits.

Don't know how it works in Florida but in NY all our benifits are thru the union.The poster didn't specify where he is from so I am only answering based on where I am.

You are able to request a withdrawal card if off a month. It has to be a valid reason. Injury, dis, etc.

You don't pay dues until you come back to work. It has to be a calender month, tho.

well in florida it is a right to work state so i was getting benefits before i signed up for the union
