Lol, the Obama administration turned over 70,000 documents.

Trump?

Zero.

I get it, you like the guy, but try to pull your head out of his az
Depends on what you're talking about. Numerous times they refused to. And by the way Trump administration turned over a million documents to the Mueller investigation.

You mean like Mumbles McConnell?

Jeez, Republicans these days don't want to do anything right before (eleven months) an election...

Nominate Judges, Impeach a President, etc...

It just kinda sucks, because Trump will be acquitted, but there will be a new precedent that the Executive Branch can just completely stonewall Congress about anything.

Blah, blah, reasons, differences, etc...stfu

Guarantee you a future Dem Prez will bring up Trump's win in this botched Impeachment as carte blanche to tell the other branch to gf themselves.

I get the power of the Executive Branch, i.e. the President, but Congress has been increasingly ceding it's powers to the President.

Time for another Constitutional Convention!

(People in this Impeachment trial keep saying that the Senate is the 'world's greatest deliberative body...on paper that's correct, but in reality that's just false.)
I don't think that is a valid argument ... the subpoenas from the House Democrats were not valid because the normally wily Pelosi screwed up and did not have the whole House vote on beginning the impeachment hearings.
No valid subpoenas or document requests because no House vote had been taken to authorize the House Impeachment Hearings.

I don't understand the apparent screw-up by Pelosi ... time may reveal what she was up to.

Hopefully the next House to impeach a President will have time to let the courts adjudicate the issue.

You do realize the Obama administration stonewalled Congress numerous times refusing to turn over documents? I doubt McConnell is in jeopardy but some senators might be. Really depends on how the economy is going and how Trump is viewed in November.
Obama did not refuse unilaterally ... he forced the Congress to go to the Judicial Branch to get a ruling on the requests.
Trump did the same thing except for the requests related to Impeachment as they were Unconstitutional requests.

He said Trump never turned over anything. The thing is in the bubble they live in people like him sincerely believe these things. And refuse to believe they live in that bubble.

Obama claimed executive privilege on the Fast and Furious scandal. He protected Holder, who once famously said he was Obama's wingman. And yet the Dems go after Barr for protecting Trump.

Obama and Holder were out of office before the Judiciary ruled on their cases.
SCOTUS does not like to get involved in political machinations ... only when the urgency and/or severity compels them.

I do know this, and I'm saying it because it will inevitably be referred to, when I watch FOX, or listen to Rush or Hannity on the radio, they play what Dems are saying. I don't see that on the other side. I can judge for myself what they say. Over on CNN or MSNBC it's much more about leading the viewer down a path. They have an agenda they want you to support. And have been caught in lie after lie. Same goes with some major newspapers. It's why we're ridiculed by the likes of Don Lemon. We don't just accept what our betters tell us. We're rubes. That's the bubble we live in.

Totally true on MSNBC and they brag about it.
CNN will on occasion bring in a Republican or Conservative in their discussions.

True, they had a Trump hating Republican on Lemon's show last night ridiculing Trump supporters. But I'm talking about more than having both parties on discussion panels. Rush Limbaugh started this back in the 80's, playing recordings of Dem leadership saying things. If anything got the Dems to be a lot more careful. Many times he played Clinton saying something to one crowd, saying the opposite to a different group. It's why FOX is so reviled, the message can't be controlled by the Dems.

That’s what the Trump team says but where are those rules coming from? Are they binding on the House or just how it’s been done in the past?
