Iran isnt going to annihalate anyone.

They are surrounded on all sides by nations ( the US, Israel, France and the UK) that have an overwhelming superiority in terms of nuclear weapons.

There is no reason to start a war in order to prevent Iran from being able to construct one or two nukes, especially in light of the fact that they do not have a missile or bomber capable of delivering said nuke to the USA.

Lets pretend for a moment that Iran was able to fabricate a couple of nukes and mount them onto a ballistic missile with enough range to hit the United States.

We would know they launched it, and they know that we would know that they launched it, so they know that we would retaliate. Their entire nation is under continuous satellite surveillance and the launch of an ICBM creates an infra-red signiature that cannot be hidden.

I can gurantee you that, at any point in time, we have at least one Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine on patrol in the Indian Ocean that could, at a moments notice, come to the surface and launch up to 24 ballistic missiles with up to 4 nuclear warheads apiece at Iran. Do the math. Thats 96 nuclear warheads that can be targeted at every major city on Iran within a matter of minutes. Iran is well aware of our capabilities, they have no defense against them, and they know that any attack upon us would result in their entire nation being blasted off the face of the earth.

They may be crazy but they arent stupid. We dont have anything to fear from them. We know it and they know it too.

The United States has released $1 billion in cash assets to Iran in April alone under the interim nuclear deal aimed at ratcheting back Iran’s nuclear program, according to the White House.

The Obama administration unfroze Iranian assets totaling $550 million on April 10 and another $450 million on April 15. The United States has now released $2.55 billion to Iran since February, when the scheduled cash infusions first began.

The cash releases were contingent upon Iran halting some aspects of its nuclear program and scaling back its stockpiles of highly enriched uranium, the key component in a nuclear weapon.

In return, Iran was promised these monthly cash infusions from Washington.

If you can't stop a nuclear strike then it will happen at some point,that is you must assume everyone innocent but capable.

Be careful about this 'us' and 'them' stuff...

My guess is that the average Iranian has about as poor a view about his/her government as you and I do, respectively.

As far as the cash money...hopefully it will work.

The option of going to war with Iran is (by anybody's measure) COMPLETELY INSANE.

If you thought the Iraq 'War' sucked, multiply that by a factor of TEN if we'd get into it with Iran.

Obama's plan: why not, give it a chance! If it doesn't work, we'll nuke them (joke...).

There are so many moderate forces in Iran - just like Cuba - that realize it's better to wear a pair of Levis than fight the 'GREAT SATAN'.

It's ironic, no, that our own government pacifies us with commerce, and then screams bloody hell when the concept of 'commerce' vis-a-vis other countries suddenly doesn't work anymore...

Seriously?

They should be able to get to yes. But we don’t know if that’s going to happen.

President Obama will wait until after a nuclear deal with Iran is made to make the case to the American people that it’s the right thing to do. He made the comment today after being asked about this letter from nearly 50 U.S. senators to Iran, which stated, “The next president could revoke such an executive agreement with the stroke of a pen and future Congresses could modify the terms of the agreement at any time.”

A member of the press asked Obama, “Can you comment on the Republican letter to Iran? Can you comment on that?”

“I think it’s somewhat ironic to see some members of Congress wanting to make common cause with the hardliners in Iran. It’s an unusual coalition,” Obama told the reporter.

“I think what we’re going to focus on right now is actually seeing whether we can get a deal or not. And once we do — if we do — then we’ll be able to make the case to the American people, and I’m confident we’ll be able to implement it.”
