Would you take or keep a 22.4 position if they abused you? This is all overblown, everyone just hates UPS because of how they’ve treated us so they’ll vote no. She refuses to address the IF WORK IS AVAILABLE and how that 1 dangerous phrase in contract language alone will turn FT package car driver jobs into PT package car driver jobs.
She refuses to answer, why create a 22.4 position that has no excessive OT prosections, no 9.5 rights and no 8 hour requests EVER? That position does not solve the excessive OT problem: it increases it. If someone is stuck in a 22.4 for 10 years waiting for an RPCD position, they still would not be eligible for relief from excessive OT. Instead of the 4 year MAX no OT protections we have now.
She refuses to answer why all OT is not offered on a voluntary basis. The Teamsters responsibility is to represent ALL the members Give the OT to people who actually want it. All available OT should be offered to RPCD's 1st and then offered to 22.4 and if staffing needs are not met then force in reverse.
She refuses to address what our Teamcare deductibles will be. The last contract we were informed of the deductible for each and every year.
These questions and many others have DEFINITIVE answers that are being withheld from the members.
The fear mongering strike threats Flemming and other Teamster officials continue to spew are reprehensible.
