Just finished as a Driver Helper - want to get warehouse job

I just finished up as a Driver Helper, with my contract expiring. I'd like to go for an available Warehouse Associate II job, but when I try to apply, this is what I get:

You may be trying to apply for a UPS Freight job... Just wait a few months, then try again for a package handler position. There's probably a hiring freeze where you are now.

Contract?

You need to express your intent to HR.

You also need to ask the driver that you worked with to put in a good work for you.

Our HR asks us (drivers) if we would recommend our helper for permanent hire. Mine was a definite no.

Today may have been your last day but you are still listed as an employee. Give it a little time to be updated

My last day was actually December 31, 2016. I called HR and they told me to use "Contact US" to contact them. Still no reply.

There's an "Exit Interview" button in UPSers, should I try that?

Actually, it finally worked. I can still log into UPSers but nothing works, and some other stuff was updated too. So I applied for real.

Hi- I am having the same issue as you mentioned in your first post (I was a seasonal driver and am trying to apply for a new job). I logged into UPSers website but only see management opportunities in the career section. How and where were you able to apply?

They only accept applications if a position is open I believe.

A lot of buildings are not currently hiring....it depends on your location.

A building in the town over is hiring and accepting applications, but when I go to apply it tells me I am already a current employee and to use upsers.com (which only shows admin & management positions).
