pusillanimous. I did 14s all week.

I was pretty grumpy after 12. Just not worth it to me anymore to work that many hours in package car.

Money is great but other things start to suffer if you do it too much, ie health and relationships.

I’m dealing with that a bit right now. Only thing that is saving me is I only have a few more years left. If I had 10-20 more I would probably bail out seriously.

We're heavy in my little center too. Part of the reason is that Amazon only covers about 1/4 of our area so most of their volume in the remaining 3/4 gets put on us or the post office.

Management is really trying not to layoff the lower guys so they're offering all kinds of days off for the veterans. I know some of the old guys won't be seen until President's Day Weekend. Don't know how they afford it. Must be nice....

They can afford it because the OG drivers house mortgage cost them 1000 dollars or less a month when they got their house. Our wages now have made it possible for them not to care about working too much.

Maybe they have their house is paid off and their spouse also has a good job and all the kids are out of the house

We have a driver that is about to enter that stage. All the kids are out of about to leave. Wife was a stay at home mom most of their lives, but she's an RN. Just got a job making six figures managing a home health care business. Just doubled their income.
He's taking every day off he can get.

Definitely a huge difference in lifestyle with no bills. The younger guys definitely have a challenge in front of them.
