Why would you want to take a cut in Pay?
You mean the $32 UPS proposed? That’s unacceptable in record inflation. If it’s staying part time, I refuse. Drivers deserve more for the dangers and responsibilities they face. Part timers are important, and deserve a bump in wages, but it’s not something to make it a career out of unless like others have said they have a business or retired for the bennies. I just want to get out of the hub. I miss driving and delivering.

I also enjoy driving and delivering. Most times I go out with 22 stops and 70 miles. Back to the building by 12 30. Great PT job at $34/hr.

I wouldn’t mind doing that, but I need to catch up for lost time and max out the pension/401k while I’m still relatively young. I’d like to save up for a house and let my parents have it while I just grind away and maybe rent a room closer to the hub.

That sounds like a good plan but how many drivers will sign up for that? UPS can't risk not having package cars ready by 9 am.
9am? That's a pipe dream already, can't tell you the last time I rolled by 9 on a tu - Fri.

Most drivers would sign up. When you hear most of the drivers complain about hours, it's really not the amount of hours, but the hours of the day. If I could start at 5 everyday, I'd work 55 a week and you'd never hear a peep outta me. You'd be surprised by how many feel the same.

Move to a different state then. The options are endless. I don’t think any smart person should believe that if they work part time they should be set for life and be able to afford allll the stuff they always dreamed of
No long time part timer thinks that. Not sure why you think they do.

Move to a different state really? If you don’t like something about your job then why don’t you just quit ups and work somewhere else. If you don’t like something the government does then why don’t you just leave the USA and live somewhere else the options are endless SMH.

That is true. It is easier said than done. I have moved 4 times for jobs, and it wasn't fun.
