Time for change

Trust me if this contract passes as is, my energy and efforts will be very focused. It’s not very difficult in this day and age to have a grassroots movement.
How many union meetings have you been to?Trust me if this contract passes as is, my energy and efforts will be very focused. It’s not very difficult in this day and age to have a grassroots movement.
Take your ball and go home. if you don't get what you want then you want to quit.I haven’t left the union yet. Waiting on outcome. I am confident part time voices will be heard, but preparing for the worst.
Not many part time jobs have the benefits that we do.I agree that PT workers need to be paid more. What I don't understand is why anyone would think being a career PT worker would be profitable. In any job your biggest pay raises are always when you move up in the company to a high position. So What did you expect to happen?
Even though I got blasted for saying I’m leaving the union if this contract passes as is, looks like hundreds if not thousands of part timers are set to do same thing. Next time you vote with the mind set, I got mine, you can thank yourself for the dwindling union and income from dues. Better save up because your union pension might be worthless by the time you need it.
Idk man I know 30 year part timers making driver wages and the gap has widened. We have regressed, the starting wage didn’t increase for what 20 years? Now they want to strictly give new hires a big bump? Yea I’m about it and willing to do something, call it what you want.
They want to make as much as us, but only want half the hours. Or realistically, about one third of the hours. How much of a bump should you get?
Did you not hear the key word. 30 year part timers... If she works another 39 years she will probably be making $50 and hour.....They want to make as much as us, but only want half the hours. Or realistically, about one third of the hours.
30 years! Not one year.Idk man I know 30 year part timers making driver wages and the gap has widened. We have regressed, the starting wage didn’t increase for what 20 years? Now they want to strictly give new hires a big bump? Yea I’m about it and willing to do something, call it what you want.

How long you been here ??
We had a 30 year clerk bitching she was only making $30 an hour to do address corrections. WTF?I believe she is talking about red circled PT like PT car wash is on here.
A lot longer than that.I'm guessing around 14. What do you got?
When the union starts working for all it’s members and negotiates for all it’s members, I’ll happily pay dues.
The IBT blows, we get it.Trust me if this contract passes as is, my energy and efforts will be very focused. It’s not very difficult in this day and age to have a grassroots movement.
With automation, many will beRelax part timers are disposable
