So is this whole mess a non-story now----other than a few getting a "working suspension? It sure seems like nothing drastic is happening.

That’s Craptacular
I got a text from my local today....supposedly over 100,000 people have signed the 804 petition regarding the Maspeth drivers. I'd give my opinion about rumors I've been hearing from drivers in my building....but I'd rather it not turn into a post battle on the thread.

The company can still do discipline or terminations. They are just taking their time. How often do you see the company forgive and forget? Remember that this is UPS.

I'm curious if there are some kind of statute of limitations on how long this can be drawn out?

The company seems to have stonewalled the executive board on communications. I don't believe the signatures or political power will play into ups decision! They will look at there business bottom line! And setting an example. Do I believe our 250 would do this again? Maybe 50 of them! But I bet you this! They have learned a valuable lesson!

Remember? When a TDU local steps in poop! What do they do? Blame someone else!

This is not over by a longshot...UPS current non-reaction is scaring the crap out of our local because they(our local) have no idea what they r up to...my theory is because ill-informed members voted for part-time drivers to do full time work at a lesser pay rate UPS is waiting for the other supplements to pass so our supplement will then pass...then they will fire drivers accordingly, because based on our NEW supplement pretty much from end of May to middle of January (except for 4 to 5 weeks in sept to oct) UPS can use part-time drivers as per our Supplement...so my thinking is they will pick and chose who they will fire based on numbers they believe will be needed to run each center basically from Feb to May....and as a footnote per arbitrator ruling from Dave O wildcat...any other wildcat is a big NO NO...Sux for my fellow drivers in Maspeth but this board deserves all the blame...

I say these drivers start saving up their paychecks. I think there needs to be changes in our board for this very ignorant move.

You are doing exactly what UPS wants to happen: you are trying to divide our union. If you are "for the 250" then you must support the board. If you are for the board, then you are for the 250. This is no time to play political games and the blame game. Time to show some real solidarity. Plus read Article 18 Section 2. Liam did what he was FORCED to do and that is stand up for his members!!

What exactly did company due to divide us? I believe that has been THE ENTIRE E BOARD! With the TDU! The members want the drivers back unharmed! This has been a build up for TIM to look powerful for a run at HOFFA. Local 804 stands BEHIND its 248 drivers! NOT YOU! Or TDU! Both of you can get the HECK out!!

Knew you were going to say something like this!
