Not giving up names, or you're just talking out your behind. I'm from "that building" that you speak of. Also, Liam is an elected official. His name was on that ballot at the last Executive Board Election. Management are not allowed to vote, that's why you didn't receive a ballot.

Yes he was on ballot! He did get elected! I Don't he is a member of the craft due to his termination when he was a driver.

Remember? When a TDU local steps in poop! What do they do? Blame someone else!

The IBT Constitution stipulates that in order to be eligible to run for office, a member must have paid dues for two years prior to the election. Liam was appointed in 2010, paid dues for two years prior to the recent election and was clearly eligible to run in the election.

Who is E. Moriarty? What role did he play in Local 804 in 2010 to receive $46,812.00?

I think that's the guy who advised Tim to put bigd on his slate! That would explain why he only made $46,812.00! It would also explain why he's gone!

So has anyone advised him to start paying ahead for next election because he may get fired again along with Ed.

Okay, member 6045, we'll go nice and slow this time in the hope that you'll actually understand. An elected Business Agent can't be fired. He can be removed through the trial process. He can resign. The members can choose not to re-elect him. But he can't be fired!

I swear, member 6045, explaining something to you is like trying to explain the infield fly rule to a cat!

Look, member 6045, I'm just not going to respond your duplicate posts in two separate threads. Please, trust me on this. Members who are closely following comments about Local 804 and the Maspeth walkout are looking at both threads! Believe me. If they really hope to benefit from your vast knowledge, they've got no choice but to follow you, buddy! You 'da man! And I just don't know who Ed is!

I think the amazingly ingenious memba6045 thinks the E in E. Moriarty stands for Ed. It actually stands for Eugene (Gene) Moriarty who was brought in to the local by Tim to help update the local's bylaws, negotiate some of the outside contracts and help go through the mess that was left behind by the previous board. By the way Gene Moriart was pulled off the truck by Ron Carey in 1992 to be one of his Intl Reps. He was very close to Ron.

again what people who like the current 804 board has to understand is there is a precedent set back when Dave O pulled a wildcat that is exactly the same as Liam pulled (and ours lasted all of 10 minutes if that)...that an arbitrator ruled that the 804 board would be well advised not to do this again...guess what they did it again...again the board knows they are in the wrong that's why they want a resolution asap while UPS is holding all the cards...again it sux for the drivers (I was in same position in Melville)..and yes would love UPS to get theirs, but a wildcat will end up costing our local good Union members.....if u asked all Melville drivers would you follow the local in another wildcat walkout 99% of our building would grab their diads and had to their truck...I wonder how many Maspeth drivers would do the same if they had a chance to do it all over again?
Actually you are wrong here. The Melville delayed start by Dave O was deemed by the arbitrator to be wrong because he jumped the gun on that issue. However, Liam DID NOT jump the gun here. He waited for Jairo to be walked out THEN he took action. Again as written on here earlier, Liam has both the Melville arb AND our supplement on his side.

Has Tim had a meeting with the drivers of maspeth yet and informed them that the company is releasing them on such date! Did he prepare them for this?? Or will that be the exiting the building talk when he states we are going to fight for your job!
