I just looked at your local's LM-2 report for 2013. It shows net assets of local 804 are almost $5.2 million. Not bad.
If you want to see a local moving fast toward bankruptcy, take a look at 952. This Old Guard, Hoffa loving local has -$221,000.00 in net assets. The Old Guard leaders had over $2 million in net assets when they took over 952 about 17 years ago.
I think I just showed you that you shouldn't talk smack about a subject you obviously know nothing about.

Once again, I come back to this thread and see the bickering. Invoking the name of Ron Carey, bickering among each other like a bunch of girl scouts. I will reiterate from my previous post.....THIS WILL NOT BE SOLVED BY YOU OR ME OR ANY OF THE LOUD MOUTHS THAT COME HERE. This will be resolved by an arbitrator, nothing more and nothing less. I must say that I am happy to be retired and saddened by this event and all the ensuing bluster and horse and pony show going on. I was a steward for 13 years an thank god I had a center and members who knew when to shut their mouths.

Totally agree with the arbiter statement. But UPS could end this now. They choose not to.
And the Hoffa boys all come on here and say the drivers should be fired, and 804's E-BOARD should resign.
That will cause arguments on here. I won't stand for it.

Lie! I'm not hearing the drivers should be fired from anyone. Then again, they wouldn't be fired if not for the actions of the e board and ups.

Now who is it that is really lying here, member 6045? realbrown1 simply compared 804 favorably to 952 after reviewing our LM-2 and seeing assets of almost $5.2 million. YOU, on the other hand, without referencing the LM-2 or any other financial record, make the absurd claim that Local 804 has been selling investments to balance the books since the current officers have been in office! That's not just an exaggeration member 6045, it's an outright LIE and you don't even offer the pretense of documenting this absurd claim! What investments or assets were sold since 2010? Have you reviewed the books with the Trustees? Have you looked at the LM-2's? Have you even paid attention when the financial report is presented at the General Membership Meetings? You know the answer to that question as well as I do, member 6045! And you also know that the answer to that question makes YOU a damned liar! Just how far will you go to do harm to Local 804 and it's members?

Just because this was a wildcat doesn't mean we feel the drivers should be fired. Your just TDUing us. We all feel that the company should bring everyone back. But the blame should be on the BA. If Joe Schmoe was fired that day, would there have been a strike? Or was it because he was a TDU supporting steward?

It sounds to me like UPS followed proper procedures and had a hearing for Reyes that morning. Liam should have waited until arbitration as usual and Reyes would probably get his job back but he can't claim UPS broke the rules by how they fired him. So it would seem it really was an illegal walkout. UPS quite likely had no real grounds to fire Reyes but he still has to go through the usual hoops to fight it.

As I have understood the situation, Liam called the strike because Reyes was a buddy and a big union supporter. If it was you or I, we wouldn't have the 250 to walk with us. Liam would have walked out of the building alone!

What usually happens to the union members that go out on a wildcat strike? They are usually terminated.
So in one way or another, you are calling for 250 teamsters to be fired.
Is Hoffa's strategy on this to sacrifice those 250 drivers to hurt TDU?
