On Friday april, 4 the company fired 26 more drivers on the same day local804 president took $10,000.00 from local804 accounts and border an airplane to Chicago to be present at the Labor Notes Convention.

hey BS, u love to mention Article 18, Section 4, why doesn't this E.B. gather all 250 of the wives of the drivers that so far have & or will be fired, ( u know the ones that have or are about to lose their income & health benefits) & have either Liam or Sylvester explain Article 18, Section 4 to them, I'm sure they'll understand & get a very warm reception. " IN UNITY THERE IS STRENGTH", WE ALL WALK OR NONE AT ALL. THIS WAS A MONUMENTAL MISTAKE ON LIAM'S PART & HE SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE & ACCOUNTABLE.

Actually Freedom, I think that the Local 804 Executive Board is looking at a pretty full plate right now. Ya' see, they're the ones who have an obligation to resolve this issue and they're committed to doing just that. It'd be great if they had the time to respond to suggestions on BrownCafe, but I guess that if I were one of the Maspeth 250, I'd prefer that they exhaust every legal option, every political offer of assistance that's out there and every display of public support. I think that's what their doing and I think that's what they should be doing. And yes, when this issue gets before an Arbitrator, Article 18, Section 4 should prove to be an integral part of the Union's case.
