Luckiest UPS Driver in 2018

That was a wild storm to be in, this was a neighboring center to mine. We were told at the pcm Wednesday that he had some injuries but atleast is alive.

Holy frick! That is one heck of a massive tree. How are UPS drivers warned during Tornado's? Are you sent messages on the diad or expected to use some weather service on a smart phone?

They have tornado sirens here in OK. Similar to this one.

It's a good thing he had LED lighting on back so others could see him as they approach.

The only warning we got back in the old days was if some farmer said his lumbago was acting up. Have I told you lately how tough we had it?

Twice in my career I watched a funnel cloud tear across the area I had been in a few hours before.

I would be on Work Comp for awhile.
The emotional distress would be crippling

He is ok has some back issues but has movement in his legs and fingers maybe out of work for awhile

He's shorter than @Big Arrow Down...D pretty much what saved him.

I heard (not joking) the company was trying to say if the weather was that bad he should have pulled over. We all know where that statement is heading.

That's the first thing I thought of. Ups will say its his fault. Unbelievable but not suprised .

UPS Driver Mike was the luckiest person in New York as the storms and an EF-2 tornado ravaged the area.

They've told us to keep delivering thru tornado warnings. Never get a heads up on storms coming thru, we're on our own here. I'd like to hear if the driver had been warned of the conditions. Other than the "it looks like we may have weather coming be careful" at the morning meeting. Maybe someday our friends in I.E. will find a way to automatically notify drivers when severe storms are in their vicinity.

He didn’t set out his hazard triangles, also should of been laying in a ditch on side of the road apparently. Not driving. Avoidable.
