Been on the Do Not Call list for a few years now. Nice not getting all the telemarketing calls during the evening.
However, received about 30 calls the last couple weeks from candidates and political organizations related to the recall elections in WI. Why did my WI legislatures exempt themselves from compliance with the law. No less irritating to get robo calls from PAC's or political organizations than someone selling a timeshare!

I think that trying to sell you a "load of $hip" is not covered under that law.

I'm on a 'no call' list too, but they get around it by saying it's a survey.

We`re on the list too but instead of just telling the ones who sneak through to take a hike we`ll actually pretend to be interested and let them give us their best sales pitch. Of course we forget to tell them we put the phone face down on the table and walk off to do a chore. Once they realize it`s their time being wasted they don`t call back.

Dropped my landline about 4 years ago. The only sales calls I get are from Charter Communications (cable) and Verizon Wireless (cell phone) but caller ID takes care of those.

Got rid of my landline last year also. Problem is, those telemarketers got a hold of my cell number. center manager must have given it to them just to irritate me! Must wait 6 months now to get the cellphone on the do not call list.
