Many people are upset with the line up for the new season of DWTS. The religious right are screaming about the likes of Carson Kressley and Chaz Bono. Old Cher was on the blogs saying......"You bigots, leave my Chaz alone. Our country will be better for Chaz dancing."

Please, spare me, mama. I don't care if Chaz was a man trapped in a girl's body. I'm against him being so wishy-washy about it. He wants to be a man and the state of CA. says he's male. Chaz had the boobs removed. However, below the belt, he's a female. How does a state make the determination?

Now, to me, if you are that sure you are a man, then why haven't you gone ahead with the rest of the surgery? It's certainly not a financial thing, your mom's Cher and very supportive of you. You, Chaz, are a "post turtle" !
We have enough people who are wishy-washy and not committed. You are just another example of one.

Remember I said I got a jury duty notice? I had requested to be excused for medical reasons and listed all my maladies on the back of the form and mailed it in. I got a letter yesterday denying my request to be excused........it said I didnt include a doctor's verification of my condition. I included all my doctor's info., but that wasn't enough. I never saw where it said you needed a doctor note.

Anyway, I had to call one of my doctors just setting up an appointment and while I had the nurse on the phone I asked about a doctor note and she said, "sure". She'll get the doctor to sign it and mail it to me. I can then fax it to the court and hopefully that will be enough.

What happened to the "good american" part of your conscience? Your retired, what else do you have to do other than your civic duty?

Go sit on a trial. May take a couple of days, you may learn something.

I've served my jury duties before. The last time my hubby served, his couple days turned out to be 3 months. I don't have that kind of time to waste on the frivolous crap in our courts. When it comes down to me and my health .....or the courts... I pick me!!

Dont complain about the system then if your not willing to participate and make it better. You prefer to sit on the sidelines and let things stay as they are so you wont be inconvenienced, but that only helps to make the court system worse.

Take a stand, sit on a jury and hear the facts and make a decision. Be an american. Illegal aliens cant sit on jurys to do the job for you, like in every other aspect of american society.

I thought of these song lyrics today after I got a call from my doctor. No letter of excuse from jury duty will be coming.

So hopefully, when I have to call in on Oct 7 , they won't need me.
