america is a weak democracy

EU looking much stronger

opposite was true prior to wwII
We are not a pure democracy never have been. We are a representative Republic. Pure democracy is just communism in disguise. There’s no liberty there because you’re forced to do whatever the masses want.

He needs to have a lobotomy
The founding fathers were really quite amazing. They understood eventually The many would try force the few. That’s why liberty is such an important item. Cannot have freedom without liberty. Liberty is spread across every document and pledge, the constitution, the way we vote ie. Electoral college, Even pledge of Allegiance. It’s one of the main reasons the rest of the world is always against us and hated us. Governments do not like liberty. Once they can take our liberty we are nothing. And it’s also why every socialist and communist organization talks about people in groups, they think everyone is the same. But in fact we are individuals.

the Founding fathers only let rich white men vote. it was a crazy anti democratic system and they set it up like that to protect their wealth.

the only reason more and more ppl got to vote in america was because ppl protested for it

70s we’re a terrible decade. maroon
real wages still went up until 1973. you exported more than you imported. you were the biggest creditor nation. you had the consumer movement of ralph nader. thats when things started going downhill for america. carter started neoliberalism and reagan really solidified it. the country was completely corporate dominated by the time reagan took over.

Actually you couldn’t be more wrong. The founding fathers wrote the constitution knowing that those rules would have to be changed when they said “all men are created equal”. Just because you’re uneducated about the truth does not give you some insight.

And your point? I would think you could understand that if they had that much power and they were that rich they would not think all men are created equal. But they did because they understood the idea of America was to get away from the old thinking that only certain people were smart enough or rich Enough or powerful enough to control every human being because every human being‘s desires are different and liberty is different to different people.

If you had in fact read many of their personal diaries because that was common back in those days you would understand they wrestled heavily with the idea of slavery and rights they were conflicted and they knew at some point it had to change. They set up the groundwork for that change and it worked quite well. That is why they said they were trying to form a more perfect union not a completely perfect union.

The Republicans aren't in power. And it's the Democrats talking about creating two new States and stacking SCOTUS and ending the filibuster who are signaling they want to stay in power at any cost.

The y created a closed system
Nope they created the system for anyone to be rich if they so desired, you’re so uneducated about this country and blinded by the fact we’ve got off course that you do not understand. And it’s the thing you love the most that has got us off course, Big government and more centralized planning.
