I am afraid though that you are hanging your hat on a ghost in regards to OSHA.
They and their "real world" powers have been seriously gutted in the last five years.
The protections and safeguards to the workers have been being quietly, systematically dismantled in all arenas, financial, judicial, environmental, etc.
Either in actual laws or in the realities of who judge a violation is occuring or what consequences will result.
For most situations the figures of Ketter (mock OSHA) audits are a far more serious worry to UPS line management than the real OSHA.
