Completely agree! The only reason wages are good for non-union labor is because of the labor unions. If the labor unions didn't fight for good wages for its members, there is no reason for other employers to pay anywhere near a comparable wage to non-union employees. My husband retired from the Operating Engineers and has a great pension. I can't think of any other business in our general area where non-union employees receive a comparable pension.

You’re stops per hour sucks. I just retired at 64. If I averaged 11 stops per hour I’d never have finished my route.

Ok but can you see what I mean by quantifying the amt of work getting done? Can you really tell me a guy with 100 stops without a single one needing a signature can compare his time to 100 stops where 20 need signatures? Can compare, sorry. Other than the damn device I have to screw with, I'm jamming the route. I jog to my vehicle after dropping off the package(s). Im NOT bragging BTW. I am competing against myself.
Don't forget that I have to sort all of the packages AND I have to load my vehicle two times at least.

Damm you are making this too easy. I'm 100% sure you won't agree with me. That's fine but here is the thing. It is plain NUTS to say they are still making billions. What a company makes has nothing to do with how they should compensate their employees.

Not many even get pensions. When I tell people I collect a pension they can’t believe it. And they cry a little because they don’t.

Do you know why those guys in your area are forced to work 10+ hrs year round? Because you scabs enable the company to avoid hiring more REAL, PERMINATE, FULL TIME drivers.

By scabbing, you are preventing young hard working part time employees from getting that full time job they need to support thier young families.

Try a completely packed package car with all the ball buster pkgs you never see, 400+ stops...day after day, 12-14 hours a day.

No one knows how hard this job is until they do it 70 hours a week. What you do is nothing in comparison. You think at 62 you could make it through qualifying? You are hilarious.
