I agree I have made some very good decisions with my life. Along with some very poor decisions. I also served 22 years for my country and have been collecting a military pension for the last 7 years. Isn't that why I belong to a Union and pay dues to protect my rights under the contract? The UPS/Teamster contract has changed a lot in the 45 years I have been here. Mostly at the expense of the new members. I would just like to see that change.
Then stop complaining about it and enforce it even if you’re not happy with the one you have now, it will create strength throughout the membership and leader ship. Your rights should be protected under the contract, but you should not be given special treatment, nor should a part-timer be continually doing full-time work. It violates the spirit of the language.

We have a very large operation absolutely no air drivers do ground work. The last air driver that worked 30 days in a 90 day period became a full-time driver based on my grievance.
That's great. I agree with that whole hardly. Take some of the pressure off of me. I just want to do my PT job and live my life instead of having to bailout no call no show delivery drivers or sad sack delivery drivers with their long hair and tats.

Tell you what you do next time, work as directed, and then file a grievance for being forced to do full-time work, continuing and see what happens.

I agree but I live in the real world and if I don't do the work the next PT air driver will.

I don't understand how having 2/3 of the UPS Union membership being disenfranchised by the other 1/3 will strengthen our bargaining position? And now we have 25% of delivery drivers being disenfranchised by a two tier wage and no OT protection. But at least you got your money and benefits. The Hell with the rest of the current and new members.

How can anybody be "disenfranchised" by the 33% to 66% minority?
