I agree I have made some very good decisions with my life. Along with some very poor decisions. I also served 22 years for my country and have been collecting a military pension for the last 7 years. Isn't that why I belong to a Union and pay dues to protect my rights under the contract? The UPS/Teamster contract has changed a lot in the 45 years I have been here. Mostly at the expense of the new members. I would just like to see that change.

Your rights should be protected under the contract, but you should not be given special treatment, nor should a part-timer be continually doing full-time work. We have a very large operation absolutely no air drivers do ground work. The last air driver that worked 30 days in a 90 day period became a full-time driver based on my grievance.

That's great. I agree with that whole hardly. Take some of the pressure off of me. I just want to do my PT job and live my life instead of having to bailout no call no show delivery drivers or sad sack delivery drivers with their long hair and tats.

Tell you what you do next time, work as directed, and then file a grievance for being forced to do full-time work, continuing and see what happens.

Is that why delivery drivers are so opposed to working 6 days a week and double time after 9.5?

Agreed. The Union says equal pay for equal work. So why is one Union member making $36/hr working next to another Union member earning half as much?

Because they only work half as long and don't vote.

I don't understand how having 2/3 of the UPS Union membership being disenfranchised by the other 1/3 will strengthen our bargaining position? And now we have 25% of delivery drivers being disenfranchised by a two tier wage and no OT protection. But at least you got your money and benefits. The Hell with the rest of the current and new members.

Have you ever unloaded a 53' trailer sitting in a 100 degree heat all day with no ventilation at 1200 PPH and then the next one and then the next one with one 10 minute break for 4 to 5 hours or more?
