Why wouldn’t you just use a Bluetooth speaker or battery radio?
Actually I don't use a speaker mainly out of fear of some A* hole customer calling in a complaint about it being too loud or language or whatever else pops into their minds. Also I listen to a lot of books and that's much easier on a bluetooth headphone.
I listen to a lot of am radio. Never bother with batteries.

Those use ferrous rod antenna for am reception. Doesn't work well in the truck cab environment.
