Mostly sale items.....I get the good donuts at the Oriental donut shops around town..(not politically correct)....that's all they do, goodies. Hubby loves their apple fritters.

It's against the law for those telemarketers to call cell phones. Widely ignored now since many people did away with their landlines.

They can call (supposedly your landline) if you have any kind of business relationship with that company. Which can be stretched to a blanket umbrella of affiliates.

I get very very few of those calls though. I am on do not call list ( which you do need to renew periodically) and I am careful about what companies I deal with (as much as possible).

I do get a few but always from some random 800 number where you can't prove who the company is to sue.

Those are almost always low wage sweatshops with auto dialing (illegal) and someone sitting there and only picking up if one of the numbers gets answered.
