For now. We always dealt with a small local bank. Three owners later, not so much.

Back to the the credit union for us.
Yeah I know you never know what the future holds but my uncle is on the bank board and I know nothing is changing in the foreseeable future.

My sister and I are financial and medical POA's for our step-father. We are also trust protectors for two trusts in his name. My wife keeps the books and writes the checks to cover his nursing home care.

Two banks are involved. Both were small local banks that have been swallowed up by much larger banks.

Can you say 'royal pain in the ass' when dealing with the changes?

That sucks. I really wish they would of let the large banks go under split them into little pieces and sold them to the thousands of financially stable local banks.

For us, it's mostly a problem of policy changes and not knowing the people we are dealing with. Most of the employees that had been with the local banks for years have been bought out, retired or just quit.
