I'd have to take out a loan to buy a brisket. lol.. no, today I'm doing pork ribs and a ham. Got a new smoker last week, and getting it up to speed. Did a pork loin and sausage yesterday.

It is ridiculous for what used to be a cheap piece of meat.

I'd like to learn how to make good brisket but it is awfully pricey to experiment with. I'll do some ribs this week.

It's easier than you think. Too much hype about smoking brisket. The hardest part is trimming it before it's cooked.

Back in the day, my mom used to make homemade veggie/beef soup with short ribs. The short ribs used to be cheap.....today they are chic and expensive.
I will still pick up some short ribs for the soup and combine them with some cheaper stew meat.
