Doctor gave me a script for Percocet after gall bladder surgery. I only took half a pill for three nights, right before I went to sleep. I didn't want to know if the Percocet was going to give me a buzz or not. I just wanted to sleep pain free. I took Advil in the daytime.

Percocet is too strong for me. If I was in really severe pain I might take it but usually I can't handle anything stronger than vicodin.

Once I was in the hospital and they gave me dilaudid ( a synthetic morphine). It made me sick as a dog. I told them just give me some vicodin instead.

I can't remember whether they gave me Vicodin or dilaudid in the hospital. I felt normal, it just took the pain away. My kids said I was acting funny though. Lol.
