They make my stomach cramp up as does aspirin and most NSAIDs.
I took Voltaren for a few years before the doc switched me to Cymbalta.
Cymbalta seem to have no bad side effects on me but helps a lot with arthritis pain and neuropathy and has an uplifting affect mentally.
The NSAIDs and other stronger arthritis drugs can cause thing of the stomach lining and esophagus so I try to stay away from them.
Weed works well too but I don't like getting stoned so I use it mostly right before going to bed.

I had a doctor who prescribed Voltaren for me. I could take it but it was very hard on the stomach. My stepdaughter tried them and her stomach couldn't handle it. My doctor always said to take an antacid like pepcid with NSAIDs too to protect your stomach. A generic diclofenac which had the same active ingredient as Voltaren worked better for me.

After my doctor retired I just started popping generic over the counter ibuprophin.
