Au contraire. When my youngest was born they took the standard pic in the hospital. About a week later I get them in the mail, opened the envelope and the first thought in my mind was, WTH?!?! Who is this ugly ass baby?? They sent me the wrong pics. Most babies are ugly when born. They're shriveled with misshapen heads. Lol. Takes a few weeks til they get really cute.

LOL, I can almost see you saying that too with the hands on your hips too, voice a couple octaves higher... lol

If your basement floods insurance will pay for the water damage but won't pay for a new sump pump or pipes.

Yeah, no matter what it is, they will pay for all the damages, but not what caused them........we had a defective furnace in our other house and the damages (smoke)far outweighed the furnace fix. The guys who did the re-painting and such thought we had a fire and we didn't. We even had to stay in a hotel for 3 days and meals were covered too.

It's almost like when UPS wouldn't cover birth control pills, but would pay for births and expensive hospitalization.....that always puzzled me.

I replaced my sump pump last year. The old one worked but got really hot the only time I needed it. I needed the water main going into house replaced and as long as I was doing that I went ahead and had the sump pump replaced. The old one (30 years old) didn't meet newer codes so I had everything replaced.

Who paid for the water main break?
