No one wants to be away from home that much.
Our last regular feeder here only had about 10 years in. 3rd lowest seniority with a bid package route and won the feeder bid.

Don't know how that happened, since I'm not there anymore. That's what I was told by a senior sleeper team driver. They recently expanded our feeder department due to a whole bunch of sleeper jobs. Some of the lower seniority drivers are taking these jobs as a quick way to gain seniority. They may get assigned these jobs because senior guys don't want them. I'll ask my longtime friend who is still there what is going on.

I retired in 2014, and it wouldn't have happened then, either. Since they added like 30 new drivers and added 15-20 sleeper team jobs all at one time, maybe management's attitude has changed.

some of those sleeper team jobs are 3 day jobs. They don't pay as much as a brown tractor job. Senior drivers are going to pass on them and they get assigned to low seniority.
