First time I've ever had an appliance delivered & installed. I always have done it myself. Lowe's just left, after installing a new clothes washer. Took all of 5 minutes, including trucking away the old unit. Money well spent.

I watched a guy in my route shove a dishwasher in his back door...it was a Honda.
Wonder how much he saved and how much damage he did to his car?

Dishwashers are heavy. That is the biggest hassle. Dryers are a lot lighter.

No charge.
Sears was slightly cheaper on similar machine, but charged $70 delivery/install / removal fee.

I bring home my own appliances but have always used something big enough to make sense. Either a pickup or SUV.
