It's funny how where you buy groceries can be a status symbol. Lol

I have a sister in law that lives in one of the wealthiest suburbs of Chicago. They all shop some fancy local market and buy everything organic and . It's pretty funny.

Not me. I'm a cheap skate.

The people for whom it's a status symbol are the same shallow people who have to have the flashy designer clothes. Not my thing at all. I go to better stores because they're cleaner, have a better, fresher selection, better customer service and the people don't look like carnies. Lol.

Yeah I mean don't get me wrong my fridge is full of organic food.


I grew it in my back yard.

We have Trader Joe's too. Too rich for my pocket. Lol.

I only use Trader Joes for 2 items that aren't in my grocery stores.......grated(not shredded) cheese 3 blend (parmesan, romano & peccorino .......AND.......Pappardelle pasta for a certain recipe of mine.

Gwyneth P. is doing the challenge where she tries to feed a family for like $39 a week.....supposedly trying to do what food stamp folks have to do.

They showed a photo of her stuff for the week and I couldn't get my eyes past the limes. WTF are limes gonna do???
All food was "organic" which is the more expensive items in the store........what a goofball she is....trying to show she's a regular mom ......Hollywood brat!
I would head for the frozen veggies as one of my first stops......10 for $10 when on sale.

She's so out of touch it's unreal. One of the comments I read on a story said that she was trying to avoid scurvy with the limes. LOL.
