The town I delivered to for 25 years used to have a big turkey processing plant as their main industry. The local High School had a kid dressed up in a turkey outfit as a mascot. The school teams official name was "The Gobblers". It still is. Every time some yuppie from Minneapolis would move to town they would try to get the school board to change that name. That would never happen. The cheerleaders always got a hard time when preforming at away games but always insisted on keeping that name. I mean how would you like to be known as a "Gobbler Girl".
