The warble parasites are usually not seen by the rabbit hunter since most of the warbles have dropped off before hunting season.I was always told not to eat rabbit until late fall. Too many worbles in warm weather.

Needs to cook longer
The warble parasites are usually not seen by the rabbit hunter since most of the warbles have dropped off before hunting season.
Rabbits raised on commercial farms do not commonly get infected by warbles but if so, the warbles are removed in skinning and preparation for sale.
