off topic in fantasy land idea.
Have you considered writing a new code which allows driver diads to scan package dimensions. Then PAS/Orion guys can set up a proper load based off package dimensions for the preload?
You could sell you new code to UPS or Fed EX, Amazon, ETC?

Nope
The DIAD platform and programming is extremely complex, modular and incredibly complex to integrate with.
The coding needs to be completely rewritten but it would take a lot of effort by programmers with with newer skill that would not have the experience and knowledge of UPS.
One of there days, UPS will have to pull this off.
