Really? It's been a long time since I bought beer in the middle of the night but I thought it was only restricted between 2am to 10am on Sundays? That is going back more than a decade when I worked at a 7-11 though.

When I was at the finger lakes they wouldn't sell me beer before 8 am

So funny. I actually don't like beer with a meal at all. Even if I've been drinking all day 99% of the time I'll get a water or soda with a meal.
