We have one bank account. She deals with money and has degrees in that field for a living. She handles that side of things. Which,is more than fine by me.

In my experience it keeps couples from fighting about money. When we first got married, we each kept our own account and one joint account for the bills and mortgage we both incurred.

I know some people do the whole one joint account when married, just never understood that approach.

In my experience it keeps couples from fighting about money. When we first got married, we each kept our own account and one joint account for the bills and mortgage we both incurred.

Honestly , swear to God on my life, in over 15 Years of marriage , can never remember having a fight over money. She will make a comment here or there after a losing night at a casino perhaps , but is in jest and nothing more is mentioned.

That's good. Most marriages with friends we have , some ended over money fights.

We are both very patient and disciplined when it comes to finances so we don't fight over it either. Never have even before everything. We do talk a lot about our plans and goals and I think that's a big part of it.

But I never get mad if she spends on something and she doesn't at me either. We might roll eyes, but that's it
