I've got a Trager grill I'll cook steaks and stuff like that. It's got a smoker I've just never used it.
Why not?
Those things are supposed to be fool-proof.

My uncle has one. It is red and has horns for handles. Looks bad ass. It is a pellet smoker. It is electronic. Works great. Why not?

I like mine. I cooked tuna steaks one night on it. Those were good. I might get something cheap to smoke before I get something expensive and mess it up
Tuna steaks are the easiest and hardest thing to do right.
Just sear each side, but leave the middle just barely warm.

That's why I'm just gonna throw a whole hog in the ground.Your gonna want to rethink the whole "cooking it myself " for 250 people thing st your own place. I barely have time to socialize with everyone when I invite over 10 people over and do my own bbqing. Lots of these people are gonna be traveling a lot of miles to spend time with YOU. It would pay off in a situation like this to just relax and have a good time and try to greet everyone and hire someone to do the cooking......just my 2 cents.
As long as you catch it while it's hot it's usually ok.I over cooked them just a little but they were still good.
Ehhhh I'm not sure. I haven't really had it that long. I don't really know why I haven't to be honest.
Yikes
So your saying put them on super hot. Sear each side for like 20 seconds and pull it off?Tuna steaks are the easiest and hardest thing to do right.

Not sure about sides and stuff. Most of the local people will probably bring a side.Your gonna want to rethink the whole "cooking it myself " for 250 people thing st your own place. Your mission, should you accept it, get a couple racks of ribs, rub with salt and pepper (don't get fancy yet) and following the instructions for your Traeger, smoke those babies.
It's really hard to screw up ribs.

He is right. Super easy. Even if you friend it up people will still like them. Will take about 4 hours.I'll give it a try sometime. I love ribs.

It's not hard. @cosmo1 always tells people go to www.amazingribs.com. They got great info there. He will help you. He helped me when I first started. He knows alotGuess I've always been gunshy of the word "smoke"
This is my other option for the party. A shrimp boil. Can cook a lot of food very easily that way.I got them at that sea food market in STL. I'm going to try to get some crawfish and have a boil sometime or get some shrimp. I don't know.
