That seems about right. My dream is actually to be a conductor or engineer on the railroad, but there haven't been any job openings since the price of oil dropped like a stone. Amtrak moved all of the employees that were based here to Omaha.
If I could become a boilermaker and get involved with a restoration of a steam locomotive, that would be incredible, though.
Have a blast my friend. It goes by too fast.

Even if the money isn't as great as driving for UPS, being an electrician would be a very portable occupation. Everybody, everywhere, is always going to need a good electrician they can rely on.
