A friend of mine lived in California went to the beer store and saw they had a couple of twelves of Genesee Cream Alex so he bought one. A week later, he bought another one. A week later he went back and they were out. He asked the clerk if they were going to get anymore in and the clerk said "Oh, you're the one."
The cheapest beer I remember was "Generic beer" $2.99 a case for bottles.
