Coyotes skin them and sell the pelts. Although fur just isn’t selling right now. I got a check for $8 the other day. Guess some of my muskrat furs sold. I’ve had a couple coyotes up in Canada for a year and muskrats for about as long.

I used to trap when I was younger. Made some good money back then.used to get $40 for a coon. $10 for a muskrat and $80 for a fox.

Wish they’d give me $10 a muskrat. I’ve got a bunch of those s. But when you send em up to Canada like I do you usually don’t get top dollar. Which kinda sucks. But it’s better than nothing.


Really about the only thing worth anything is bobcats, otter, and weasels. An XL and up beaver pelt would bring a nice check too.


But really I guess the thing that’s worth it the most is a muskrat. Easy to trap, can have one cleaned in 2 minutes, and easy to stretch.

I’m thinking about just trapping raccoons, skinning them, and just leaving them green. Wait til I get a bunch put back and take them to the Amish and minanites. They buy then by the pallets at auctions.
