I just don't understand why they have regular drivers taking a day off without pay. They are basically paying you to sit at home if you add in the cost of pension, health care and vacations.

I could never understand that from a fiscal point of view. If I have a 7.95 dispatch and I punch out a click under 8.00 there is hell to pay but no worries if have a 9.00 dispatch and you run a half hour late.

Honestly I work harder on an easier day. I alpappreci the chance to get done early. I'm fortunate that my sup knows that and will throw me a crumb every once in awhile.
