The Barney thing is just a joke. People read way too much into that. Barney was a person on this site who was just plain creepy how he would PM people, had numerous accounts both male and female, was overly friendly and familiar with people. It was because he kept starting accounts that people started referring to people who they didn't know as "Barney"

90% of the mean stuff people say on here is joking. The other 10%? em life is too hard and short to worry about it. If someone annoys you too much ignore them either with the ignore button or scroll past their comments
