Pretty much as I remember ... reminded me of squirrel some.
These were wild ones so dark meat and a little gamey.
And they are fairly inexpensive.

I see them in the supermarket. They must be popular in New Zealand. It seems like they come from there.

To me, they always taste a little off. I used a Belgian dark ale infused with habenero in a chilli once. Gave off the perfect flavor and the right amount of heat.
Not too many stores around here carry them. The same goes with frog legs.
