The chicken was good. I pulled them out and put them on the grill to try to get the skin a little “crispier”. I didn’t leave them on long enough

I want to try using some wood chips made from old whisky barrels. Heard they impart some delicious flavor.

Nice! My girlfriend knows I’m really proud of anything I cook or grill. She’s in for it this summer when I start coming up with some off the wall stuff lol

I am extremely proud of my pork steaks. We are supposed to have a competition at work. Looks like Bullet is gonna have to mop the floor with these fools lol

Food contests are fun but also humbling. Last fall I entered a chilli cook off and came in second. I thought I should have upped the heat but I played it safe. The winner's was the hottest of all the entrants. If I had followed my gut, I may have won.

I did everything in the smoker. Nailed the flavor i wanted. Some people raved about the smokey flavor but a few weren't impressed.

As long as you learned the basics. A lot of what i cook is self taught. My Dad rarely cooked and my Mom was more of a baker than a cook. My Mother-in-law is an amazing cook but she goes light on the spices. Me, I go for big flavors.
